Get a young good QB and send DA on his way. Get with a young good coach, then ride the wave until you're a contender.

Not too dissimilar. Texans had BoB, who everyone knew was a garbage coach.

Texans were nowhere near the cap hell the Saints are in. That helped them and their GM, who is overrated, was given basically the time to purge the team and get some middle tier guys on two year deals or find the gems.

So Bryce Young? Zach Wilson? Trey Lance? That part is easier said than done.
We are stuck with Carr for at least one, maybe two more years. I’m not against drafting a QB, but we have a lot of needs and can’t gamble away our future reaching for one.

I’m one of the biggest FDA guys on here and completely agree with you. Unfortunately I don’t think it will happen anytime soon. They will let Carmichael go and bring in a new OC. Allen won’t have the easiest schedule in the world next year and will go 2-9 before being let go.

As bad as Carr & DA are… starting to see that our biggest obstacle is Loomis constantly pushing cap into the future for a MEDIOCRE team.
All 3 need to go, but I’d be surprised if even just 1 was let go at this point

Bill O’Brien had a winning record with the Texans 52-48 made the playoffs 4 times and even won 2 playoff games (2-4) He’s Vince Lombardi compared to Dennis Allen

The cap hell would partially solve itself if they were as bad as the Texans for several years and signed 50 nobodies to prove it deals for 2 years. That’s what they did. At some point that will have to happen.
