My purple hulls are watching their first sunset. I now have close to 20 sugar baby watermelons. I’m about to go pick one and put in fridge for tomorrow. Squash, peppers and cucumbers going strong, tomatoes have been a bust. I’ve got 3 more plants in ground, hopefully fall crop does better.

found my first newborn on the vine today, hopefully there’s more in that tangle…the vine has swallowed an 8x24 bed and is now running up the trellises and spilling out on the ground. High hopes for these. Still have a dozen or so cantaloupes ripening but the vine seems to be petering out. I’m guessing we got about 30 altogether
