Thai part of Red Bull bailed him out. I assume Austria, Helmut and the verstappens are putting the pressure on now.

?? | The President of the FIA, Mohammed Ben Sulayem is under investigation for alleged attempt to interfere over a race result. A whistleblower has told the FIA that Ben Sulayem allegedly intervened to overturn a penalty given to Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso at the 2023 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The allegation made by the whistleblower is that Ben Sulayem called the FIA's vice-president for sport for the Middle East and North Africa region, who was in Saudi Arabia for the race in an official capacity - and made it clear he thought Alonso's penalty should be revoked. Ben Sulayem has yet to comment on this. #F1 #SaudiArabianGP

What a shite show this week has been.

Sainz seems to get a free pass when he has bad races and called a great driver when he has good races. He was the worst driver on the grid in Abu Dhabi. He was only given the crazy strategy because he had sucked up until that point and barely passed anyone. The only excuse people can give him is maybe the car was not rebuilt properly after the BS in Las Vegas.

What an awful take. He would have finished fourth in the standing last year if it wasn't for Vegas and Abu Dabi wasn't even remotely his fault. They had to send him on a completely different strategy that had no chance of working. Not sure how you figure how Sainz get a free pass when he is literally driving a car for an entire year that he knows he will not be driving in next year And of course he gets some praise when he has a good race, as do most drivers. His win last year was by most peoples definition a masterclass in driving. And it's especially an odd time for this take when he won the fan vote for driver of the day despite not being a that much of a fan favorite (though that should have went to Max).

Hamilton is making more than Max with his move to Ferrari and Max is signed through 2028.

In my opinion this is all about Max getting out of his contract.

Jos and Max are not the type of guys to be horrified by Racy Spice's conduct. Not in the least. They are taking advantage of the situation.

Max stole Kvyat's family and Jos has a well known history with his various wives. Horner plowing his PA isn't going to bother them in the least.

Spend some time on twitter and say he is not a fan favourite. There are people who honestly think that he is better than Leclerc. That is what I was responding to and I do not recognize your name so I have no idea if I should care what you think or not. A lot of awful posters on this board.

How is being terrible in qualifying and the race not his fault? Are you claiming that the car was broken or a complete fool who really thinks they put him on an alternate strategy for no reason?

Apparently max has a release clause he can leave if Helmut is gone. Bet there are some other provisions in there that would allow hin to get out.

I think this is more about Red Bull Austria pressuring the Thais to move out Horner. All of these leaks coming out at once is no coincidence.

No offense intended to the poster but how is this any different than any other season of Formula 1? Since I started following in the mid-70s, nothing has changed. F1 is a lot of wealthy, high-testosterone men engaging in a continuous big d*ck contest. Cheating, deception, and finger-pointing is what they do. Nothing is off-limits in the pursuit of victory. Because of that, in part, F1 is a very interesting sporting series. YMMV

I'm talking about more of the Jos angle.

Max takes Danny's Seat
Max takes Danny's woman
Max raises Danny's kid
Jos sleeps with RB employee
Horny Spice sexts said employee
Jos gets upset and tries to oust Horny Spice
Max caught up in the middle of a pissing match that could risk his future (if he went to a shitty company from fallout)

The rumours appear to be if Horner leaves then Newey can leave. if Horner stays then Max leaves. What a disaster all because Marko and Jos are losers that are tearing the team apart.

Why would Newey want to leave Red Bull? Wouldn't the best car designer want to stick with the best driver and an engineering team where his visions are being manifested into dominant cars? If there's anyone in F1 who should be able to get anything he wants to keep him happy, it's Newey.

Newey should leave Red Bull today. Hes already built this years car and will get credit for the drivers and constructors championships it inevitably wins. If he leaves today he would probably have enough time to have a championship worthy Ferrari ready for next season.

Rumor has it that the RBPT PU is behind.

Which wouldn't surprise me at all considering they are starting the entire department from a blank sheet.

The cars running now will basically be running next year with updates going into the new formula for 2026. Most of the development next year will be for the new car, so the time to move is soon.

OK that makes sense.

If Ferrari can score Newey, that would be quite the seismic change that would renew excitement at the front. The tifosi will be creaming in their pants.

Seems like him talking with Max and both jumping to Merc would be the smartest play.

Ferrari and Mclaren are pretty much locked for next few years.

I would hate this. Merc and Red Bull have had their glory years. I want to see someone else at the front for a while. Ferrari or McLaren.

Me too, but only place reasonable for both to land as a pair (if Newey wants the best driver, driving his product)

Would love it to be Mclaren, but don't know what Oscar's contract looks like and the buyout would be next year.

Merc has the seat and the $$$ for those two.

The WhatsApp sponsorship that Mercedes signed is really paying dividends.

"Toto, you wont believe what we have Horner on record saying..."
