Appears Stake, Alpine, and Sargeant will have ownership over Q1 elimination spots this year.

the saga continues. everyone being reprimanded at RBR except christian

quote:

Helmut Marko has revealed to ORF that he may be suspended by Red Bull.

Speaking to the Austrian broadcaster, he responded the rumour that he could be suspended by Red Bull and will not be present at the Australian GP by saying: "How shall I put it. It is difficult to explain, but in the end I decide what I will do."

When asked about the possibility that he will be suspended he responded by saying: "That theoretical possibility exists.”

Whether that is an own choice or still a decision by Red Bull Marko does not want to answer: "It is such a complex issue. And again, we want peace in the team and we want to see it. This world championship will be difficult enough with 24 races and we have to concentrate on that."

Marko is also asked about the position of Verstappen, who is also often linked to Marko's future. For instance, there is even said to be a Marko clause in the Dutchman's contract, which would allow him to leave should Marko leave the team.

"Max is definitely the strongest asset, there are no faster drivers at the moment. Losing him, that would be a huge loss. Also for the mechanics and engineers, who all strive to work for Max."

Alonso is no doubt better than Stroll but it should be noted he used a tow from Lewis to start his lap which probably helped his time a decent bit. Smart move from him.

Haas tried to do the same with Kmag giving Hulk a tow down the front straight only for him to blow up two corners later.

His q1 time would have placed him 6th on the final grid too. He should be criticized for rarely improving in q2 and q3 like every other driver. He was bad today but not terrible like the gap suggests.

Helmut Marko is subject to an investigation by Red Bull relating to various media leaks.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no conclusion has been reached regarding whether or not Marko breached team protocol at all.

Max Verstappen:

"I wasn‘t expecting Helmut to say that."

"Without him in the team, I believe there will be a problem, also for myself because I always had a lot of trust in Helmut."

"He is a very important part in the team."
