He was supposed to be in the project with Mike Portnoy and Billy Sheehan, Winery Dogs, but he flaked out and they brought in Richie Kotzen. As much as I dig Sykes, Kotzen is an upgrade across the board.

Saw the Winery Dogs on their first tour in 2014. Excellent band. With Mike back in DT, most of his other bands are now on the back burner. I managed to see Sons of Apollo as well.
