I am. I would never consider looking for my birth parents. I was 14 days old at adoption. My parents were, are and always will be the ones who raised me.
I'm 37 and up until about a few years ago, I had the exact same mindset as you. I liked not knowing my biological family history, thinking I had a clean slate on life. My mom and dad that raised me are my parents and always will be. Nothing can or will change that, and they know that too.
Not until recently I realized I HAD to find my biological parents for one reason: family medical history. I have two young girls and if there's some preventative steps I can take to prolong my life with them on this planet, I'd be doing my girls and me a disservice to not turn over every rock to make that happen.
Fast forward to last week, I found my biological father and am in the process of tracking down my biological mother.

when I was in high school I was with my pal, George and we were standing outside a corner drug store. George was a blonde headed guy and a lady walked up and she looked at George and said, "you look just like your father."
George said no, my dad has black hair. She responded, "I meant your real dad." Turns out his black haired dad had adopted him after marrying his mom. George went off the deep end , drinking and fighting til he finished high school.
He finally turned it around after joining the army. He later said to me he wished they had told him about his adoption when he was young.

That's why I reached out to my bio dad. I did talk to his parents (my grandparents) They said, "You aint ours. He said you aint. We got to take his part." THat's some real Oklahoma shite right there!
They were alive and healthy in their 70s, so that's all I need to know I guess. People are stupid.
