I didn’t see anyone say they prefer Bernie over Trump.

Can you quote and link that for me?

Besides. This is all a deflection from the true statement from Desantis.

quote:

DeSantis: You can be the most worthless Republican in America, if you kiss the ring, Trump will say you are wonderful

The intellect of MAGA

In circumstances like this, the conversation in the SUV inevitably turns to politics. My driver — who was exceptionally skilled at driving in just about the worst possible conditions short of an earthquake — said he was a Trump fan and would be caucusing for Trump tonight. He mentioned that while he didn’t think it was a requirement, he preferred a president who had served in the military. I said I agreed, and wondered whether he saw Ron DeSantis’s service in the Navy during the Iraq War as appealing. Instead, my driver talked about Donald Trump’s time in military school — Trump spent five years at the New York Military Academy in Cornwall-on-Hudson — and said he felt that gave Trump a particular insight into military matters.

BS. If Trump would be more conservative, I would vote for him.

Bingo.

Strictly speaking, former President Barack Obama accumulated more debt than Trump. But Trump accumulated the most debt per year served in office.

Trump was more fiscally liberal than Barack Obama.

You gotta give it to Bond… He’s done a better job in this thread to help campaign against Trump than Desantis’ team has in the last 6 months.

Don’t apologize to him. He’s done nothing to deserve an apology.

I'm not convinced he isn't the one that made the argument I suggested he made, but I give people the benefit of doubt when it comes to things they say they have/have not posted. I give plenty of shite to people that imagine things I've posted, so I think it's only fair.

I would agree with you normally. But when it’s regarding someone who regularly has to lie his fricking arse off to form a narrative he incorrectly claims your making….they don’t deserve any of that respect.

I mean….that’s exactly what’s happened in this thread. He does not reserve the right to be offended over someone incorrectly attributing a claim to him when it’s the very same thing he’s doing here.

He sounded like jjdoc in this thread. I know he's a Trump superfan, but that was surprising.

Only appealing aspect is I guess Trump could die on the job, given his age.

Not really worried about Trump dying in office. They just roll out a body double and keep on rolling.

Which Biden look-a-like are we on at this point?

“ He's the governor of a top 3 most populous state in the Union”

Because of trump. Trump is more popular than desantis in his own state. Those are also facts

It has the feel of a magic spell, some collective wizardry. Turning normal humans into salivating zombies.

Trump is a great and compelling personality. Few could ever beat him in a personality contest, but that shouldn't be what electing a president is about.

I look at it this way - let's say fixing the border is the most important issue for the American Right. Who has the better chance of fixing the border - DeSantis, who even though is not fun/exciting has a record of achievement as a governor, or Trump, who failed to fix the border the first go in the oval office?

I like my chances with DeSantis and am willing to sacrifice fun/entertainment to get some shite done.

Another false narrative. Ron was already set to win primary before Trumps endorsement. With only Trumps endorsement, he barely won. Ron campaigned his reelection based on what he did his first term instead of Trumps endorsement and won by a significantly higher margin.

That's good. Trump is going to get crushed by oatmeal brain again and when that happens, Trump and his VP need to be purged from the party (along with other General Election losers like Kari Lake) and have their political futures end. DeSantis realizes that.

Trump is the same guy who called Maggie Haberman, the witch from the NYT who invented the Russian Collusion hoax, his therapist and still grants her interviews because she compliments him. He's a moron and will do whatever you want as long as your praise him.
