Cop was justified in his actions.
But I am still trying to figure out how all of this protected the public. Furthermore, the $1500 or so the lady ended up paying probably cost 10x more in administrative time and paperwork for the city.
These same LEO's will let illegals walk on traffic violations because they don't habla, have no license, and the LEO's don't care to be bothered to arrest them.
I would like this same rigid standard applied across the board if we are going to start talking about justified police action.

Some police departments just write "refused to sign" on it and let em pay the fine or get a warrant anyway. Seems way easier to me than all of that. What exactly does a signature do anyway, he had her license and info and body cam footage.

Growing up in the South, there's always at least one of these types of women in every public space. Feels entitled to special treatment because she's a woman and has never been told "no" by her son, husband, or father.

I wonder if you get any satisfaction zapping a stupid person with a taser? I may need to get one of those.

If someone refuses to sign a ticket, does make the citation invalid?
No. I refused to sign a speeding ticket once when a small town city cop wrote me up because he admitted to not having his radar on but "could tell I was speeding". Pretty sure I was profiled, just in reverse order.
