She left Pointer but she didn't leave much. Her back end years were brutal

I’ll have to go look but it seemed like there were a few others.

Ironically, I met Kayla Pointer in Atlanta before the fall semester her senior season. What an impressive young woman. She mentioned that she was staying because she loved LSU and how it wasn’t that hard of a decision even with her aunt Fargas getting fired. I do believe Fargas did indeed tell them to stay.

Morris was the only real addition to Mulkey's first team, which was the team she was talking about. She didn't bring it up and they were talking about a conversation they had with Mulkey talking about what she left for that first team. She complimented LSU and the fans the whole game so the only bitterness is from people in this thread.

Fargas also left Cherry, Trasi, Aifuwa, she added Newby as a grad transfer before Kim took the job. All were serviceable but not great tbh but its mostly the same core for the most part that only won 9 games the year before.

That said the addition of Morris by Mulkey 100% changed the outlook year one. Pointer didn't have the help before and Morris helped Mulkey get the ball rolling for a successful year one. I'd also say Kim really helped Cherry in the confidence department and really elevated her game all around

Fargas did a nice job with the players she inherited by Van Chancellor during her first few years (who was past his prime but brought in some talent). Once the last of his players left (Plaisance and company) things started to fall off a bit in the recruiting department and had issues with attrition to key players (Ballard dismissed). They had some years were they sere serviceable but never could get past the first round in the time they did make it. I think Nikki went over 7-8 years without winning a NCAAT game before stepping down and Mulkey coming in.
