I get the question because Mack was the coach LSU fans chased for years every time a LSU coach was fired or struggled. But honestly he only spent one season at LSU as QB coach in 1982. I don't know if he ever had any interest in LSU after he left.

We missed on spurrier big time back in the day but he went to his Alma Mater so probably would have ended up there anyways.
