You’ve plainly never been there. I’ve sample BBQ in pretty much every state known for it. Grayson’s is among the very best.
I found it barely edible. But to each their own. Beans straight outta the can and mushy potato salad with over salted meats

I remember correctly, Mr. Grayson of Grayson's in Clarence and Mr. Lea (may be his first name) were brothers-in-law.
funny you mentioned that I almost equated the two saying they were the two most disappointing places I’ve eaten. I was looking forward to Leas. Leas had the same issues green peas not even warmed up.

I eat at Lea's every now and then. The food is still good but the portions have gotten a lot smaller at that one. Go to the Lea's in Monroe and it's different. You can get full in that place.

What’s good at Leas. I pick up a pie about every two years but have never eaten there after two bad meals. Just bland.

Decades of voting for politicians that support NAFTA,modern monetary theory, and that sit on their butts instead of diversifying the economy is what caused this.

All the little towns that were hanging on 2 decades ago are now done. Montgomery, Clarence, Campti, Coushatta

I went to grad school with a girl from Coushatta and she was hotter than hot. She is a trauma surgeon now and still finer than a frog hair split 4 ways even though she is in her 30s now.

Atlanta HS closed down last year

You could make a whole list of schools in North LA that have closed down… once people in those towns got automobiles it was a wrap

Lea’s is a husk of its former glory and very bland. Took my wife there one day and she said, “my pies are way better than this” yes they are. Grayson’s and Lea’s are still trading on the nostalgia from 50 years ago.

Only if he has a badass suspension on his vehicle. I am willing to bet that the roads in Gaza strip are in better shape than that road.

The parish consolidated schools and went to a four-day week.

Lea’s pies are overrated. Prefer that Strawn’s pie.

LSU should buy some acreage in the area and build an entirely new campus. Make sure to also keep a buffer zone around the land to keep the crap away.
