I think the Lions will be a better team next year after free agency with their ample cap room and another Brad Holmes draft, especially if they really address the defense.

Having said that, they might end up with a worse record since they will be playing the other previous year division winners in their cross overs and the NFC North will be stacked next year.

They should still make the playoffs though by either winning the division or a wildcard but it will not be a cake walk for them to get back at all.
