And this is why.

You are essentially confessing that you don't have any thing of particular value that you feel you can bring to the table.


If I had a shitty candidate, and someone who pulled the stunt you are thinking off, I'd 86 both and consider external candidates.


Asking why you are the guy for the job isn't a trick question. You should have asked yourself that question before you applied. If you aren't prepared to answer it without shitting on anyone, you don't deserve it. Period. You sound like someone who feels they are entitled to positions just because they have been around for a while.


And if you don't get it, you prob will invent scenarios about how the evil boss did you wrong and post about it on r/antiwork.
