• McNeese and Southeastern will meet up for the second time this season on Saturday when the first place Cowboys visits the preseason favorite Lions at 3:30 in Hammond.
• The Cowboys defeated Southeastern 74-65 in front of a sell-out crowd in the Legacy Center back on January 13.
• In that game, both Javohn Garcia and Shahada Wells clipped the 20-point mark - Garcia with 22 and Wells 20 as the Cowboys got out to a fast start and a 14-point halftime lead.
• McNeese is coming off two of its biggest blow-out wins in conference play - 102-65 over New Orleans last Saturday and 89-65 against Northwestern State on Monday.
• Southeastern (8-13, 3-5) has won two of its last three games and is coming off an 80-58 whipping of HCU on Monday.
• SLU is 5-2 at home this season and 1-2 in home conference games.
• McNeese will enter Saturday's game with the nation's longest winning streak at 14 games.
• In addition, the Cowboys possess the longest road winning streak in the country at six games.
• The 14-game winning streak is tied as the 2nd-longest streak in school history with the 2001-02 Cowboys.
•The school record is 19-consecutive wins (final 18 games of the 1955-56 season and the first game in 1956-57).
• First-year head coach Will Wade has definitely made a case to be in the talks as the Naismith College Men's Coach of the Year.
• To date, Wade has coached McNeese to a +8 turnaround in wins from the previous year with 10 games still on the regular season schedule.
• He has the Cowboys out to their best start in school history in both overall record (19-2) and in conference play (8-0).
• McNeese is currently the hottest team in the NCAA with a nation's best 14-game winning streak.
• In now his 10th season as a head coach, Wade is 11-0 to start his season for the first time in his career.

WW has done a great job of turning this program in the right direct against a weak conference. I’m excited for the conference tourney that’s for sure!

Just think, if he was still rightfully in Baton Rouge, we'd be jockeying for ncaa seeding right now. Instead we are finding ways to realistically hit 7 conference wins.

This game has been on my calendar. I hope the student organizations get students and locals to show.
Lions have a chance but gotta jump on them early and stay out of foul trouble.
I want a southland team to break the top 25 but LionUp!

Since LSU won’t be in it, I’m pulling for Wade and the Cowbaws to wreck havoc in March.

About dead center of all those, 243. McNeese should crush them.

They have to win the Southland Tournament to get in. They aren't likely to wreck anything, though.

It would be the bees knees if lions upset cowboys for the conf tournament final, putting 2 southland teams in the big tourney.
