Dude it’s one shooting compared to the hundreds New Orleans has. The reason a New Orleans shooting thread would have 10+ pages is because it is a known, on-going problem with no end in sight. I’d run to Mandeville and deal with my one shooting every couple of years compared to New Orleans’ every couple of hours

What a dumbass comment. Lots, and I mean lots of people from poor trashy towns drive to Mandeville for this parade.

Let’s make sure we apply this standard when a shooting inevitably happens on the parade route in New Orleans.

Or do we believe nobody ever visits from outside Orleans parish?

I don’t know about your case specifically but I know a bunch of Northshore transplants who thought they could outrun the trash.

Yes, the Northshore is absolutely terrible, horrible, and in fact, since no one should come, the Causeway and twinspan are now useless and should be blown up.

There is no double standard. Shootings in Nola happen constantly. They rarely happen on the Northshore. This isn’t rocket science.

I was at Eve. Could have been me, but it was not. Thank you for your concern, friends.

There was a recent murder on the street behind my gym in New Iberia. It's a rough area. I don't usually workout at night, but sometimes my schedule requires it. I watch my arse in the parking lot. The gym is worth the risk of the location.

One or two shootings every couple of years is, I don’t know, sort of avoiding the shite.

I’d rather live in Houston than on the Boreshore. Everyone kind of sucks over there.

No, I’m laughing at the Northshore residents who thought they were moving to Mayberry. You all spent years bragging about your new subdivisions with cheap housing and public schools. Now the trash has arrived.

Open borders do that. Thanks to you democrats in New Orleans that voted joe Biden. The entire country is fricked.

Congrats. You win.

Well, you kinda can. Let's compare murders, thefts, armed robbery and other violent crime. It's not better by leaps and bounds on the Northshore? All of your posts in this thread make you sound bitter and envious.

It's almost as close as you'll find in modern America.

The fact that Southshore residents celebrate the 1 rare shooting on the Northshore while basically ignoring the multiple shootings that happen on the Southshore tells you everything you really need to know about the situation.

The news said it happened around 9:30, which it would have been well over by that time. I was at the Starbucks and after the parade finished, packed the car, and drove home I arrived at the house before 9:30.

Is there any information on where the suspect lives?

I agree with the other poster saying that trash from all over rural LA attends the parade, but usually rural people don't shoot people unless they are scared to death for their safety, or if they are pissed off at their ex. I don't think it was someone from a rural area, but I would love to know if it was.

It was close to 9 but yes...either at the every end of the parade or when it was over. We were over by 527 and it didnt get these closer to 10.

It always amazes me how that parade goes so damn slow.
