Biggio's food has gone downhill big time in the past few years. Grotto is across the street and is much better.
El Tiempo on Navigation has better food and is much easier to get in and out of over Ninfa's plus way more room inside.
Brasserie du Parc absolutely fantastic food and drinks.
Moon Tower Inn great spot to get high end dogs. Good beer selection.

If you’re looking for a nice dinner, B&B Butchers. Best steakhouse (and IMO, restaurant in general) in the city.

Eunice is another good restaurant (bit of a drive though). Carrabba’s too (not the shitty chain - owned by the same guy that started and sold it though).

If for some reason you do want Cajun food, Zydeco Restaurant in downtown is phenomenal (get the stuffed pork chop).

El Tiempo, a block away from Ninfa's is better.

Anyone else going to the game at Rice on the Wednesday before? I picked up some tickets today. I was surprised there were tickets still available but Rice is pretty terrible now.

There are some great choices around downtown and not too far from it. I like Truth BBQ if you want something like a BBQ shack that’s not fancy. Really good.

I highly recommend Potente downtown if you want some Italian- Cajun. The Chef is from Thibodeaux and is a half-arse (Italian and Cajun). Really great fusion. I believe he studied under Folse.

You won't regret visiting El Tiempo Cantina on Washington Ave. They offer valet parking and I highly recommend trying their steak fajitas. Trust me, it will be the most exceptional Tex-Mex dining experience you've ever had.

Not sure about near the stadium, but I do know there's a couple of sports bars right close. You can't go to Houston without stopping at Pappasito's or Lil' Pappasito's.

El Tiempo's Filet Mignon Fajitas with their garlic butter is easily the best fajita you'll ever eat. Also, the owner is the son of Ninfa's original restaurant I believe.
