By those standards, we probably shouldn't interview any politician anywhere in the world ever.

Dumb for who? Just don’t watch if you don’t care.

Though in my opinion anyone who doesn’t want to hear from people like Putin directly is purposefully burying their head in the sand, and is worse off for it.

Well at least we know where every one stands.

Now lets watch the interview and come back and revisit this thread and see who ws right.

I dont think he's worried about Western narratives or overly feisty interviewers.

His responses have largely been the same for nearly 15 years now. His responses also reflect broader anxieties of the Russian ruling class.

He's going to rely on the fact that the West, the US and allies included, do not want to defend prior US policy. The major issues in NATO before the Ukrainian invasion were directly related to the US's intelligence claims in 2002. Germany and France openly referenced those claims. Yet US intelligence about Russian actions were accurate.

Leftists loved those old Fidel Castro interviews with American Journalists.

Funny how Zelensky hasn’t yet gotten back to Tucker on doing an interview with him. Zelensky doesn’t do interviews with truth seekers and truth tellers.

It's straight up going to be the same things he has said for 15+ years.

Imagine spending an entire thread blatantly opposing an American journalist interviewing a major world leader while pretending like you aren’t. It’s even less convincing that your “I’m a Republican” schtick

Wild isn’t it? What gets me about this alter is that he came out of nowhere to being one of the most active posters.
I think it’s hailmichigan’s alter.

Saying you want to watch that is saying you want to watch Russian propaganda.

We haven't even seen the interview. What if they're all softball questions?

Putin is America's enemy. There's no denying that. It's very likely that he will use this interview to try and destabilize America. All he has to do is praise Trump and he will single handedly mobilize liberals to the polls to vote for Biden. Russia knows this.

This is a psyops interview to keep a weak Biden in office.

And that’s fine. I don’t expect anything other than the party line from any politician anywhere in any interview.

It’s the notion that he can’t be interviewed because Russia is the bad guy that I take issue with

China. Yes.
I don't think Putin had a hard on for America. He probably does now.
I've heard him in several interviews, and didn't speak the way you suggest. His perspective on things is more logical than the shite we are told.
That's the thing, as Tucker pointed out. What most people know about Ukraine is the propaganda MSM is directed to report.
People around here give their opinions on Putin and probably have never listened to him.

Like the sheep your government wants you to be.

You’re right. It’s better if we take in Putin’s words and intentions as interpreted by responsible media figures such as Joe Scarborough, Sean Hannity, or Joy Reid.

What? I’m wouldn’t expect them to accurately represent US foreign policy at the time either. I’m not expecting Carlson to offer any context, unfortunately, because again, the actual US position in terms of Putin’s claims is rarely repeated in the mainstream media.

Geopolitics does not occur in a vacuum.
