Then why does anybody give a shite about the interview?

Because it gives those viewpoints a new audience, and the likelihood is that Carlson will not elaborate on the US’s position with respect to Putin’s claims.

I don’t remember lefties getting upset when Zelensky was doing bits with Letterman and Ben Stiller in the States while he was banning young men from leaving Ukraine.

Not sure why this would trigger them.

Who is the new audience that we need to worry about hearing Putin speak?

He prefers you only hear about Putin through outlets like WaPo and the NYT.

Wonder why?

As in anyone who has never heard him speak before about his grievances with the US? The issue isn’t that he speaks, but that there isn’t any context offered in terms of the US’s position. For example, in 2007 Putin complained at the Munich Security Conference about the Us withdrawing from the ABM in 2002. Do you know the context of that withdrawal?

He's already alluded to the interview is "The American people are being lied to" "Putin will tell every one the truth" "America and NATO are the bad guys".

It's just never in my lifetime have I seen so many Americans agreeing with statements like this, much less from a Russian Communist Dictator...

Do you think Tucker ask Putin all about Bucha, murders of Russian journalists, assassination of Litvinenko, poisoning of Skripalis, destruction of Grozny, abduction of Ukrainian children, erasure of Ukrainian language and culture in temporarily occupied regions, Putin's affair with Alina Kabaeva, bombing of civilian targets in Ukraine, Prigozgin's death, SVR/GRU/FSB operations in the West, censorship of Internet in Russia, murder of Nemtsov, imprisonment of Kara-Murza and Evan Gershkovich...

Well at least we know where every one stands.

Now lets watch the interview and come back and revisit this thread and see who ws right.

That's a good idea. Although, I doubt much changes. Lol
Most will keep their same ideas.

Proper/approved context needs to be provided before hearing speech that could prove dangerous, huh?

You can read that and not think, "that's retarded"?

I’m sure a lot of journalists want to interview Putin. It’s not really interesting why Tucker wants to interview him.

It’s interesting why Putin agreed to be interviewed by Tucker.

That's the reality. This interview won't change it.
How many interviews of Putin have you watched?

You dumb shite, I said that no one in the mainstream media on all sides, is representing the US position with respect to Putin’s claims. Because we live in a free society, we don’t even need mediators, because the US refuted those claims in direct diplomatic cables and memoranda since the mid-1990’s.

He knows Tucker will air the full interview without slanting his words.

Money

Right. Because Tucker Carlson is destitute and willing to travel to a hostile nation to interview the leader so he can make his bills this week.

Are you fricking high?

I’d imagine he feels pretty comfortable with how Tucker will treat him both during and after the interview.

This is a direct consequence of the left creating the Russia hoax to try to destroy Trump.

Again, events in geopolitics do not happen in a vacuum. If Putin brings up, as he did in Munich 2007, that he felt the US withdrawing from the ABM in 2002 was a threat to Russia, shouldn’t an interviewer suggest that there is at least one more side to that claim?
