If the NCAA goes away nothing is regulated anymore….everything you know about how college sports, all college sports and how they work will be erased in one day….
Not a fan of the NCAA at all.

If that should happen - please God! Let it happen - I would think the SEC would step in and regulate the conference as well as they could given the stupid court rulings.

Even in the Wild West former slaves were paid.

And the Wild Wild West refers to murder. And that's still legal in the NCAA. Ask Brian Kelly or Nate Oats.

If the NCAA does go away at some point, who is going to run all of the championships/tournaments that they directly run?

It’s never been regulated evenhandedly.

Some were punished severely for similar actions.

Guilty until proven innocent.
No questioning or cross examination of so called witnesses.

NCAA has been a kangaroo court at best and anti-American at worst.

Good riddance. I hope Walter Byars hears about the demise of the NCAA in hell.

If the NCAA goes away, it will be because they were replaced by a ruling body from the 2 superconferences. Not sure why this is that hard to grasp. It will be an end to all the NIL and portal mayhem.

Fun fact: the Wild wild West was never as wild as the Northeastern dime novelists made it out to be. In fact many of the authors never ventured further west than Philly, and the tales got taller with time and popularity of the genre.

Having said that, the NCAA either needs to restructure itself or wave bye bye. We need some sort of regulation and standardization, just pretty sure the NCAA has proven they aren't the best way to do it.

That’s why The Big 10 and SEC had a meeting I would think to decide what they are going to do. But anything they do can’t interfere with NIL. So lord if I know what we will end up with. I don’t know if they can somehow cap NIL or not.

One, and only one, good thing about all this mess is if players are considered employees & unionized, the schools can make them sign service contracts. This would, at least on paper, stop all the transferring.
