Not surprising at all but they both voted "yea".

No, the senate did NOT just pass Ukraine funding. You know better than that. Your own link says final passage of the bill is still uncertain.

Ok.

Let me amend my earlier post: not 1 cent of American taxpayer money should be spent discussing funding for Ukraine. Not 1 cent.

The senate vote only set a limit on debate (cloture) on the bill. The bill itself has not been passed.

Has the senate ever NOT passed a bill that received cloture?

Both Kennedy and Cassidy voted with the neocons.

Yesterday, Cassidy voted for the Border Bill.

Louisiana needs new leadership.

If Chuck Schumer thinks it’s a good first step I’m pretty sure I’m not gonna like it and America is going to get fricked

Turtle is gonna get his laundered cash one way or another. And frick chuck grassley....he's always voting for this hemorrhaging of cash but tries to pretend he cares on other subjects when he sends his sternly worded letters of reprimand.

Lankford didn’t vote for it. He got an earful from his voters on his sellout bill. None will forget but he will try.

If Putin is interested in America at all he certainly isn't interested with our ascent. He's interested in our decline as they stated.

In your mind the leader of a competing nation being interested in "our decline" is more nefarious than our own elected leaders (particularly 2 of the last 3 Presidents) who are actively managing that decline because, philosophically, they believe America needs to be taken down a peg or two?

(Probably not completely fair to Biden, because he's in it mostly for the 10%, a la the Clintons.)

Interdasting...

Failure to pass this bill would only embolden autocrats like Putin and Xi, who want nothing more than America’s decline.

Sendings 100’s of billions to other countries with zero oversight while already trillions in debt? If that’s not decline than what is?

Apparently he's all pissy about the push back and is going to vote against impeachment of myorkas when that comes up again next week.

Just cloture.

Which is effectively passing the bill. The next threshold is 50+1.

49 Dems plus one Republican senator and Kamala and Zelensky is swimming in cash again.

Cloture votes are cover your arse votes. If you vote for cloture it is tantamount to voting for the bill. I don't believe a bill has EVER failed passage after receiving cloture.
