Simoneaux definitely doesn’t hold his tongue. He called his shot last year though. He said WM would be back in Sulphur. The big 3 graduate this year in Hawsey-Tech, Fed-Ole Miss, and Pearson-LSU. The entire pitching staff returns though.

I saw he was up to his old tricks after losing game one to Central. He said the sophomore will be pitching in Sulphur.

Catching up on this. I heard LCA lost this game due to a pitch count. LCA was 1 over. Tuerlings appealed it.
I don’t have a dog in the fight but that is some BS. The whole best of 3 format is BS. But damn. Tuerlings must really have low confidence.

Remember back in the day when the playoffs were scattered around the state for the semifinals and finals?
I went to E.D. White at Kaplan for the Class 3A semifinals around the turn of the century. I think E.D. White's catcher signed with LSU. He had a cannon. The pitcher was great, too.
Kaplan hit a big home run to get the crowd into it, but E.D. White won Looking back at the results from around that time, they were a juggernaut.
ETA: I covered Rummel with pitcher Thomas Diamond against somebody (can't ramember) when the Class 5A state tourney was in New Iberia.

I think the Class 5A tournament was quarterfinals on, and it was in New Iberia around 20 years ago. Just reminiscing.

I recall Barbe, Jesuit and Archbishop Rummel at the state tourney in New Iberia. Maybe St. Amant.
