I carried a Kershaw leek for a decade and my wife broke my blade prying on something with it. Now I’m in the market for a new EDC knife. I do like the assisted opening and having a lock blade and I prefer it to have a pocket clip. Any suggestions?

I also need a new knife. I lost my Benchmade mini grip after like 7 years, which was the GOAT IMO, but they stopped making them in different colors for some dumb reason. I've been waiting on KnifeWorks to stock more of the Doug Ritter Mini RSKs which are basically a clone.

I've been wanting to check out a Bugout but I've heard that the scales are kinda flimsy. Anybody have thoughts on that?

Boker Kalashnikov Auto Dagger style. It has a thick spline, snaps open quickly, and retains an edge.

She pried something with a Leek?

You didn't say price or if you care if it's made in the US. The Kershaw Cryo is a solid, inexpensive Chinese option and the tip is significatly thicker than the Leek if your wife wants to play Bob the Builder again. It has all the features you're looking for.

If you want to spend some money there are countless good options.

ETA It may be made in Taiwan, I just know it's one of their foreign models. It's a helluva value.

If I have a belt I always carry a case trapper. If not I carry a leek. Was thinking about getting a Kershaw launch. Handled one a couple weeks ago and really liked it.

I bought these three recently. I really like all three, but I mostly carry the Kizer.

I carry a SOG Pentagon Xr. They're $150 give or take.

Pocket clip can be moved to either side.

I had been carrying a little Spyderco Ladybug since 2019. Lost it about a month ago. All of my other knives were much larger and I didn't like carrying any of them every day. I got a Spyderco Byrd Robin (on Amazon). It feels too big too. I may order another Spyderco Ladybug 3 9On Amazon)

I’ll still carry a Buck 110 or a ka-bar mock 110 but my ZT and ravencrest OTF are tanks. That fixed blade holds an edge like nothing else. It all just depends on what you actually do with your edc

Buy whatever you like, but know that Civivvi is owned by the Chinese CCP.
