First day back you should consume no more than half your normal calories. Day 2 can be a normal caloric day.

I typically break my fast by adding fat to my morning coffee (coconut oil/butter). Later, I'll consume sauerkraut. After the probiotic, I'll eat steamed broccoli and carrots to give the probiotics fuel. Then, after some time, I go with a protein like eggs or salmon. If you're nervous about a solid meal, sub bone broth for the protein.
