This is true. The fishing is not what it’s cracked up to be….. loads of pressure and loads of people whose livelihood depends on sport fishing who will show their arse if you do the work and find their spots and beat them to them. I used to help a guy take his boat from Stuart to Isle Mujeras and we’d stop in Key West to top off tanks….we could not leave the boat for fear someone would frick with it thinking we were invading. Mexico was OK but key west was likely to cost you a pile of money out of fear you’d catch their fish

That's how a lot of us like it.

Best to visit is Charleston. Nola used to be up there, but crime is even worse than it used to be.

Best to live is Charlotte or Raleigh.
