Donald Trump now has full control of the Party, the RNC, and the political apparatus in addition to having the mandate of the base. We will see if he can translate this to winning a national election. The track record of Party success under his leadership since 2016 has been atrocious.

Success or failure is now squarely on his shoulders. We will see if he has the mandate we seem to think he does. His legacy will be defined by this election. If it's a failure, the Democrats will cement control of this country that will be very difficult to break.

This is their worst possible outcome. No more scapegoats.

Its all on Donny. Its his party, he remade it in a more moderate, populist, less free market way.

No more excuses for his failures.

*We'll just ignore he supported Romney McDaniel for years.

I agree, so let’s recognize where the party is heading and beat the shite out of Biden and socialists. Can we not find a common enemy in socialism? Please?

Makes you wonder why Cheney, Bush, McCarthy, Romney, etc would be opposed to that.

It's almost as if a part of you knows, right there under the surface that we let a true conservative slip away for a man who will never see the inside of the White House again.

You and I have different opinions of what is conservative. I don't consider attacking American businesses because they don't support Israel to be conservative. Desantis even created a list of all the subversive companies called the List of Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel. A list of people that disagree with you, how conservative of him.

He also signed a hate speech law, not very conservative to me. He was in Israel at the time too. I know, I know, it was for private property, so it didn't count. Increasing penalties based on speech may be considered a hate crime law to some, but it's not a "hate crime law-hate crime law."

There was also the time that he tried to send ammo to a foreign country engaged in a war. Engaging in foreign policy as a governor doesn't seem like a conservative thing to do. He lied about being asked for it by an Israeli official, though. Was that the conservative thing he did?

Desantis also wanted all bloggers who talked mean about him online to register with the state. I tend to think that is authoritarian, but I suppose it could be conservative if you look at it the right way.

Why is Desantis able to violate all of these conservative principles but still be considered a "true conservative?" At most, he should just be considered a conservative, an Israel First conservative.

It'll be the lie of the independent and moderate voter and the Suburban wine mom. I think you know this.

This would be more believable if Ron didn't support a 6 week abortion ban. That kind of policy doesn't turn out independents and suburban wine moms as much as you would think. Trump may have mean words, but it's difficult to believe these people will flock to Desantis after 24/7 ads on social media and the MSM.

Check out my thread about the finical deficit between the RNC and Democrat Party. Trump's PAC is broke defending lawsuits. It's only going to get wider.

We have eight months left. What is Trump and his daughter in law going to do about?

Well, then we better have a Republican wave in November. If Trump loses again and down-ballot Republicans get wiped out and we don't have the Senate or House, the entire Trump family should be purged from the party.

No intelligent person can argue otherwise. Put up or shut up time.

I don’t disagree which sadly also further emboldens the never trumpers to fight like hell against a change in power in their own party. Such selfish little pricks they are.

Those guys are all now vanquished or sidelined and out of politics...I don't want to hear any more complaining from MAGA about the "Establishment", or "stolen elections" or anything else. Trump is charge of this election and everything that is associated with it. Trump is the new Establishment

Success or failure is squarely on Trump and MAGA

No, I mean something that unambiguously conveys a “warning” against criticizing Trump. Y’all say it so often and with such confidence, it should be extremely simple to provide.

Davy, you're not unfamiliar with the dynamic here for someone that dares criticize Trump. You can be a 2-time Trump voter, be donating to his '24 general election, and hate with white hot passion all things Left of about Goldwater, and be called a closet Biden voter for the mere sin of pointing out obvious things like Trump is a liberal Republican with big-government tendencies.
