Agreed, his purpose is to throw nasty sliders to close the game. 2-3 innings max IMO

He’s not a long relief pitcher, never has been.

Right. Which is why I immediately followed that statement with "He isn't going to be in the game for long"

Jay said he liked Guidry to put out fires whenever they arose. He wouldn't hesitate to go to him early in games if he needed to keep the game from going sideways.

While I like Guidry and I think he can put out some fires, I prefer Ack in that role. You can also ride Ack awhile if you go to him early.

It was just very weird usage this weekend. Little and Hellmers pitched twice.

ETA: I also thought he hung Loer out to dry in game 1, and stuck with Hurd too long in game 3. And, I want Guidry and Ulloa on the backend.

Guidry hangs his slider too often, and his fastball has been too hittable.

Then why make a definitive statement? You can say nothing and not look like an idiot. But instead you decided to take a guess?

Now you want to act all pissy bc people pointed out how wrong you were.

This is what happens when box score fans give their input.

Braswell is hitting like .275, but a lot of loud outs over the past 20 games. Playing fine in the field as well. I'll take this from my SS any day. More hits will come.
