These assholes couldve sent two agents to follow him home from work and confront him in his driveway. Or get him as he was leaving for work. Kicking in the door at 6 am when you don't have to is stupid and dangerous. If someone kicks in my door at 6 am, bullets are going to fly. Why the frick wouldn't they try to avoid that when they 100% knew they could apprehend him other ways?

Because they'd rather kill people than go to trial.

Because it’s unlikely he was armed while at work.

security certainly intercepts a handgun, knife, or loose bullets from time to time, but nowhere near a quantity that could be considered a volume enough to stockpile and sell to very bad people.

I’d assume they have TSA there, if he was smuggling drugs, thugs, and weapons he’d have to bypass them in favor of private jets.

Doesn’t smell right, I bet someone was on the trail of a story and someone influential made sure he was the fall guy

Yep!

Because you nab the guy at his workplace where he doesn’t bat an eye being around law enforcement and various agencies and he wouldn’t be able to defend himself at all because he wouldn’t actually see it coming?

And even if he is - you let two dudes get close to him in normal course of action (whether a meeting or a checkpoint or…) and he is in custody instantly

Everyone is is correct that they should have grabbed this guy at work and then served the warrant. Why is this case different than a search warrant in the hood? Because this guy had a normal 9 to 5 job and they knew where and when he would be there. It was completely stupid to do a 0600 kick in the door operation.

You would think the same division that lost agents at Waco would use a little more common sense. People should be up in arms about this but won't be. This will die out of the news cycle by the weekend.

Dude's running guns/drugs at work, wouldnt it be safer to say if a guy is running guns he's probably always armed . He's the director and not some flightline maintenance tech. He might never even go through security to get to his office.

No need to make a scene at the airport and disrupt operations.

TD is far more reliable that MSM. I don't even watch that propaganda anymore. My wife will even ask me all the time "what did tiger droppings say about it?"

Fair point, but I do think there were probably better options. Why not hide outside his house and nab him when he comes out to go to work? Busting down his front door obviously gave him plenty of time to arm himself and get a shot off.

This was not some good, innocent dude. The ATF was actually doing their legit job in this instance. He was not firing on LEO out of self defense because they caught him in bed asleep, he was going down in a gunfight.

you just started the script of the next Netflix gangster movie.

This is completely disingenuous. A guy at my office was recently arrested. The police showed up in the lobby and asked to be directed to his area. They were, and they served him with an arrest warrant, and then they led him out. Why in the world would they go to his house and kick in the door in the middle of the night? That is asking for drama.

Has anyone else here randomly had their door kicked in from no knock warrant by a tyrannical government?
She did
And she did
This lady was killed. The folks they were looking for were 10 miles away

Do you know the difference between an arrest warrant and a search warrant?

Im sure the guy in your office was trafficking guns/drugs for a cartel as well.

Ok troll.

This is disingenuous if you want to use that term. Does it happen, unfortunately yes. Should it happen, no it shouldnt.

But I did ask if anyone HERE had their door randomly kicked in during a no knock warrant from a tyrannical government, and nobody here can say yes.

Reading these posts, let me see if I can summarize:
"Completely unacceptable."
"Should have set up an appointment with him at his office, instead of bursting in at 6:00 am!"
"The suspect was white!"

Pretty much,

I wonder how long they would have had to wait if they set an appointment. Seems like he was a pretty busy guy. Could have been weeks to get one.
