Same here, I’m the only one that works with a certain project. No one else, even my so called boss, would have any idea how to answer questions that come in while I’m on vacation.

I have 5 other co-workers that are my peers, but there are definitely some things that I know that none of them do. Some of that is simply that I've been here a lot longer than most of them.

My first 'real" job was a structural steel estimator. Did project managment, estimating, detailing, and purchasing.
Didnt matter where I was, I was "working" if a problem arose. There wasnt anyone else.
Its not self promoting, its absolutely necessary to do your job at times.
