Haven’t turkey hunted in years. Been at the camp the past few days with my wife and decided the morning was too pretty to not go. Walked outside at 6:15 and killed a gobbler at 6:45 50yds from the camp. Woke my wife up real fast.
Anyway I got a lot of beautiful breast meat. Was thinking of doing fried nuggets and maybe grilling some. Any recipes for the best stuff to use? Tia

My mom used to do something similar to this when we'd kill one. Was always really good.

Headed down to try and dust some Rio’s this weekend. My favorite is to clean out all the white, pound out the whole breast, then cut strips across the grain, roll in seasoned flour/chicken fry and pan fry. Absolutely delicious. Usually soak in buttermilk for at least a couple of hours, but not sure it’s necessary.

We brined, injected and smoked some at the camp this winter and it was awesome!

Fried in peanut oil. If you just want something quick the Louisiana crispy seasoned chicken fry is good. Just follow directions on box

Chicken fry the breast. What I usually do with the legs and thighs is cook them just about 5 minutes short of forever in a crock pot and make tacos with it.

Last time I posted this recipe I got blasted with down votes, but we personally love it.
I marinate cut up breast chunks in some ranch dressing and jalapeños with juice then use a Louisiana chicken fry pack and fry them. I keep thighs and legs a and slow cook them and make tacos.

I have enjoyed substituting turkey for chicken Parmesan and Marsala recipes.

I slice the breast meat in strips against the grain about the width of your pinky. Brine it for 3-4 hours or so. Batter with bisquick (add black or red pepper to it if you want). Fry until golden brown.
I’d put it against chic-fil-a in a blind taste test. My wife says it’s better.

I cut the breast up into nugget sizes and then I do an egg wash in Louisiana chicken fry. Comes out great.

Fried is good, but a smoked breast wrapped in bacon is my favorite wild game recipe. Wild Turkey breast takes smoke better than any meat, even farm raised turkey.
Brine overnight in ice water with salt, peppercorns, and brown sugar. Better than thanksgiving.

Fried wild turkey tastes like fried anything. Bake it after putting it on some dressing.
Don’t cook it over 155 then rest. I basically cook a thanksgiving dinner, cranberries, gravy mashed potatoes and and rolls.

Fried breast strips.
One of the more unique ways I've tried it was a backwoods Soldier recipe from KY that I had once.
Batter in egg and milk. Then toss in a crunched up bag of those Chicken in a Biskit crackers with a little bit of salt and pepper.
I was skeptical, but it was really good.
