What was the mystery? I don’t keep up with the royals of the UK.

Can the OT set up a system whereby we all sign a Get Better Card? This way we can all wish her a speedy recovery.

te Middleton diagnosed with cancer
If it was discovered during an abdominal surgery, that is not a good sign

not an oncologist but that opens up a ton of potential options - colon, liver, kidney, stomach, pancreatic, bladder, ovarian, on and on and on.

Of course that’s what they’d say.

A little appreciation for what we really care about around here:

Is that what the problem was with her hand?

Terrible news. I'm sure a lot of people who were all up in this situation meme'ing it and so on should feel like shite.

Hopefully she recovers. Way way too young.

Really isn't good.

Sounds like she had a tumor/growth they went in to remove and thought it was benign but it's not.

I hate the infatuation with the royals, it's stupid. But she is a young mother with small children. Very sad.

You know what’s just as annoying/uninteresting as the royals? People who feel the constant need to tell all of us how little they care about the royals.

Now it's time for the media vultures to speculate on the type and severity. Regardless, she's so young and it's unfortunate news.

I watched the video she released. It kinda sounded like she is going to be ok based on her statement.

The chemo is "preventative". She did the abdominal surgery to take care of something they thought was non-cancerous, but tests afterwards said cancer "was present".

She could not do the chemo until she recovered from the "major" abdominal surgery.

Huh. So that’s important enough for all tvs to break for an announcement? That’s awful for this person but it’s another celebrity. They don’t do that for other celebs

What kind of cancer? I don't want to watch video.

She didn’t say. She underwent what she described as “major” abdominal surgery in January for a condition that was believed to be non-cancerous. The surgery was successful, but when they did tests on whatever they removed it came back as cancerous.

Sucks for anyone to have cancer.

Regular Joe in Iowa with cancer? Nobody knows and/or gives a shite.

A person in the UK who happens to be a "royal"...front page breaking news!

It's not anymore tragic for her than it is for anyone else on the planet.

She hasn’t made any public appearances since she underwent surgery in January, so rumors began swirling that she was really sick, that she and Prince William had split, etc. Then earlier this week the rumor began that the BBC had been told to prepare for a major announcement from the royal family. The rumors got so bad that the family probably felt compelled to release some sort of news.
