100% agree. Do Top of the Rock so you can have the view of the Empire State Building. I would book it for the first night in case visibility is an issue and you have to rebook it. Last time we went it was foggy and you couldn’t see well. Was our last night so went up anyway.

Another vote for Top of the Rock. I was coming to mention the weather as well. Let the weather guide you on when you do this. I went on a fairly cloudy day and just didn't get the full impact.

You probably can't squeeze much more into a short 2 day trip. Everything takes longer to get to and do than you think because of the crowds.
