I'd say yes, Jefferson parish noise ordinance says 0730 is the earliest for things like grass cutting and construction work.

If you cut your grass at 7:00 am and you have neighbors, you’re a terrible person.

This is some of the silliest shite I’ve heard in a while

Let’s say it’s $100 a month. Put that into a brokerage account and see what that would have turned into in 20-25 years. They could have probably retired in their late 50’s and definitely before 65.

You still have to spend some money either way. I also remember my dad saying it was worth his while to spend an extra hour at work and pay someone vs doing himself. You should always outsource anything where cost of service < value of your time.

ETA: unless of course, you enjoy doing yard work

Well I’m glad you still care a little.

Time is money, son. I do well because I don’t piss away my day on time wasters like cutting grass.

Poor troll attempt.

Title should have included fat and trashy.

My elderly neighbor and I made a deal that he cuts the grass (riding lawn mower) and I edge, clean up what he can't get to and blow the clippings off the sidewalk... So I have the more labor part and that's fine. But during the heat of the summer I want to start earlier. But he wants to have his coffee and I guess take a shite before cutting. This last summer was hard with that damn heat wave. We were starting at 8AM and be damned if the other neighbors were pissed. I am not as young as I used to be and had to take a break or two...

I have a huge backyard and i actually love mowing it with a push mower. It brings me back to my childhood and it is kind of a stress reliever for me. Now when its 95 out and the grass needs mowing i will probably change my mind. My back yard backs up to the woods so the only complaints will be the deer.

It's too wet where I am and wet clippings don't help the equipment by making things rust, corrode, shrink or stretch faster.

No, I wait for the dew to dry first. It allows for a better cut

I wouldn’t start before 9:00am on the weekend. 7:00am is definitely too early imho.

Bruh... I'm finishing up by 730am.
All electric outdoor equipment. Strap a light to the mower and get down before the suns up. I'm finished before I see a neighbor typically. I've asked and not a one has said they heard anything.

no, you wait for the dew to completely dry or it will take years off the mowers life always being caked up with wet grass

i never cut before 10am and often wait for lunchtime to cut it

as for the time being too early for the neighbors, 7 is way too early, if the gheat is an issue then do it at 6pm, but whether the neighbors are going to be bothered by the noise, that doesnt even enter any part of my concerns

7:00 is way too early, and most people here mow too much anyway. Grab a shovel and plant something. It's quieter, and it's better exercise.
