Dude can mash. Hard to believe he redshirted his first year.

He’s Georgia’s version of Wyatt Langford.

Both were multi-sport stars at smaller high schools. They didn’t focus on baseball. Neither had as much exposure to scouts as most high school prospects, but they would crush the ball, and often outperform highly rated prospects whenever they did compete in showcase events.

Year 1 of college: Neither saw the field. Langford didn’t redshirt, but his only action was four pinch hit ABs.

Year 2: Both exploded out of nowhere. Most observers expected them to regress back to average at some point, but they kept piling up big games and impressive stats on their way to All-American honors.

Year 3: Both had a very high bar to even duplicate their first season, but Langford was even better, and Condon is putting up ridiculous numbers so far.

Exactly two years ago Langford was just beginning his ascent. This week he will begin his MLB career as a member of the defending World Series Champions.

Meanwhile, Condon is on a very similar path, and could outpace Langford’s rise. He’s putting up better numbers so far, and might be the first selection in the MLB draft in a few months.

This has to be the best start to a season ever right? If he holds this up through the regular season it HAS to be greatest individual season ever.

Where did this kid come from and how good was the guy ahead of him that forced him to RS?

I know there has been a big disparity between home and away opponents, but he's hitting .282 with 6 HR and 12 Ks on the road in SEC play and .541 with 12 HR and 7 K's at home.

I've heard from a reliable source that Georgia, not Arkansas, is who Schloss was pointing fingers at with the trackman feed in the dugout thing.
