I’m surprised to see a Mulkey coached team come out and play so uninspired and dumb. I hope Coach can light a fire under them at halftime.

It’s time to face it this team doesn’t have what it takes to win the tournament. Inconsistency all over the court. I love them but it’s a fact. These guards for MTS aren’t elite but yet there eating in LSU guards who constantly are lost on plays. I remember when I played we were taught to never leave the shooters under any circumstance. It’s like they have no faith in Reese/Murrow to defend the paint it’s crazy to me.

It’s been well said, have to have great guard play to win in the tournament….
We don’t have it on offense or defense and that’s the difference….they are shooting almost 50% from 3 and are out rebounding us

Out rebounded by 7 in the first half. Looks like MTSU wants it more.

Repeat NC or not, it’s best for on-court chemistry if Reese and HVL just move on after this season. Up front you’ll have Smith and Morrow with ADR developing and CKM will strike gold again in the portal.
No doubt CKM has learned her lesson and will reel in an All-American or All-Conference playmaking PG. The backcourt will then be overcrowded with new PG, Williams, Johnson, and HVL. None of those are coming back to sit, so the handwriting is on the wall for HVL to move on.
And let’s hope we aren’t shocked with an unexpected transfer out.

We aren’t even running half court offense. We have thrown the ball into a post player being actively double teamed about 6 times.

Doesn’t matter. She’s not dependent on the WNBA and may never play one second as a pro. She’ll be making millions either way.

And she misses too many layups. I get Reese is a great rebounder but you are not going to be able to rebound the vasty majority of your misses in the pro level

It is an awesome accomplishment just to get to the NCAA Tournament and win a game.
