After a couple weeks of driving a stick it becomes second nature. Stick doesn’t make you pay any more attention than an automatic.

My first car was a used Honda with a 5 speed…I thrashed that thing within an inch of its life. Also, manuals are real handy when your battery dies and you’re too broke to buy a replacement…just always park on a hill.
