Since January 1st, here are the +/- numbers for Jonas and Larry:
Jonas: +100
Larry: +105
The data does not support that idea that the team would be better off if Willie played Larry less and JV more.
In reality, the reason that Larry is playing more minutes lately is that Zion is playing more minutes. With the way that Zion and Trey have improved as rebounders lately, they help cover for Larry's weakness on the boards.
With no BI, the Zion/Trey/Larry trio is our primary offensive engine.
The secondary engine is CJ/JV. Those two play a really good inside-out game, and CJ is one of the few on the team I fully trust to feed Jonas in the post without turning the ball over. The CJ/JV combo is the only dependable offense we have when Zion is on the bench, but with Zion playing more minutes, we don't have to rely on that as much as we previously did.

They’re rebounding better but honestly Im not sure its enough to cover it. Your center HAS to be able to rebound in close moments- if he can’t its a huge liability. And if thats the case just go completely small. Switch Larry out now for Dyson or BI takes Larry’s spot when he comes back. Larry isn’t giving you anything.
