That's just a moronic statement. Walking is entirely dependent on the pitcher throwing balls. A pitchers job is to strike out batters. You think standing there regardless of ball/strike and HOPING for 4 balls is a good college level strategy? fricking morons in here tonight. His job was to get on base, either by HBP, base hit, walk. Which of those three (aside from standing there and wishing) can he influence? I'll help you SWINGING THE frickING BAT

Eh, sometimes it honestly is. Of course today’s zone wasn’t D1 college sized so idk.
