How much would you charge to have this conversation with my wife? Pretty sure Uber Eats comes to our house at least three time per week.

yep, I can't stand the thought of paying an extra $20 on top of my order and risking someone fricking with my food.

I'll just go get it myself. Hell for the extra $20 might as well upgrade my order from something shitty to an actual quality meal

Who doesn’t want to pay double for a takeout order then give 20% to the driver?

Just something I heard, so not necessarily fact, but supposedly at some point they also went way up on the fees or percentage take for restaurants to participate in their services/program.

We have a 350lb heifer at work that routinely orders $30 breakfast from McDonald's.

Did Drew Brees keep equity in this or cash out with the sale? Heard he had a chunk of equity in this at some point

They were a big player down here until the switch.

Basically everyone else down here surpassed them during covid when they were one of the more popular ones.

Sounds more like the gap is closed shut and never to be seen again.

Roughly 2 years ago, a waitr driver delivered my food to the wrong address. Waitr gave me a refund, but would not / could not get the driver to bring me more food, which at that time, is what I really wanted.

The next day, I ordered from the same restaurant and picked up the order myself, and I was shocked at the difference. My price was $48; the price through waitr, before the driver’s tip, was $65. I always knew it was more, but damn!

I stopped using food delivery services a couple of years back when the driver came to my door holding the bag of food with his teeth.

Delivery + tip is a tougher pill to swallow when even a basic sports bar burger is $17.99.

I let my daughter get door dash sushi the other day and two rolls was over $50. frick all that.
