Making it to the Elite 8 isn't a "complete collapse". Its not even a semi-collapse. An Elite 8 appearance is a damn good season.

Speaking more about baseball here. But the women's team missing the Final Four is under achieving when you are preseason #1.

They won the SEC regular season, SECT, and lost one game all year, in the Final Four.

Any observer would know that you cannot lose important players like Smith and Poole and think your team should make the Final Four.

Underachieving? Would you say they overachieved last year when they won it all? Kim knew this was going to be a hard season. Last year was not supposed to end with a championship but it did. This year they were going to have the target on their back. They did. Clark had a great game. South Carolina will win it all. They are the best team.
