Yes, I understand perfectly well why food is not included in the monthly inflation numbers.

Saying that, not having them included in any way definitely skews the numbers to look much better than they really are. (And they are still bad)

My average grocery bill reflects the above.

Dems would be too stupid to add up the whole difference in dollars.

How's your minimum wage increase working for you now?

It's the same when you were working for $7.25/hr.

Too dumb to see it.

Two areas of our lives that tell us quite often how bad inflation is are food and energy for we make multiple purchases each month in both.

Hence, they hide the inflation numbers of food and energy cost due to a very lame excuse.

I don’t. Learn me. Why shouldn’t monthly inflation numbers actually reflect what people are spending their money on?

The 2 biggest increases are not on the list.
STEAKS...all cuts. Only ground beef is on the list.
PET FOOD... especially dog food.

I buy three items off that list eggs, ground beef and butter and I pay less than those prices on all but one (eggs) at WalMart.

Dems keep telling us we are better of and don’t know what were talking about…..

Bidenomics is working and we need to enjoy it.

A few things:

Food producers have bet, correctly that even if you bitch about the prices, you'll pay the nutt....because it's food

The last 12 months though have not been ideal for things like cattle and some grains like corn because of weather.

In the last 6 months there has been a re-emergence of bird flus thus the price of eggs have started to go up

Then there is the dollar and how it is acting on the commodities market.

I just got back from Rouse's... They have chicken tenders (raw not tyson) on sale for $1.48.. eggs were cheaper than Winn Dickme..$3.99 for XL.. They had Scott toilet paper 8 rolls for $6.97. Rouses cheese for $1.78 for shredded, sliced and block.. I got some other stuff and my bill was 50 bucks. No dog food and no booze...

Not sure where you’re shopping but some of those prices looks almost good compared to Rouses in Mandeville

Then stop using the same talking points as the dems when discussing candidates.

If you understand what’s happening push the bs aside.

Here's the hard cold fact.

If you haven't received a pay increase of +35% over the past 2.5 years you're well under the wage increase needed to offset the inflation over that same period.

As the cost has increased, a lot of products are less quantity per unit so it really is inflation compounded with shrinkage.
