I always thought that the had a unique opportunity to bring the 2 together but instead he worked to create more division.

Yeah, Obama had a chance, but was a race baiting leftist community organizer by nature and just couldn't stop himself from throwing gas on the fire.

I think that there are loudmouths who stir shite, but I also think there are a lot of overly sensitive white folks who misinterpret every remark on race as an accusation of racism. That said, it can’t be denied that there are a few lunatic racist whitepower groups around who like to make a scene.

A different thought.. race issues have been around my entire life.. and conflicts … but it appears the world is more angry than in the past and race ( and any) issue blow up into violence and physical aggression quicker than the past.. and this gets reported in click bait news and just keeps the cycle of intolerance growing…

Meanwhile, I've never seen a black person have something negative happen to them where the counter party was non-black and NOT be certain it was "because of racism".

For blacks, it appears to be impossible for them to comprehend that sometimes, shite just happens. In fact, the overwhelming majority of the time, shite just happens.

But nope. Too long to be seated a restaurant. "Cause I'm black". Clerk accidentally calls on man who was supposed to be after you? "Cause I'm black". Worse grade on paper than white peers? "Cause I'm black". Passed up for promotion white person got? "Cause I'm black".

And you literally CANNOT even imply to them that it's possible some other driver caused it. Nope. It's always racism. ALWAYS.

I think we need more feedback from S'effirca. When a Zulu from the Congo tells me that S.A. don't respect life, it starts to teach you. Why is Haiti f'ked up, but DR just gets people from NYC drunk. Animism.

My grandaddy worked for the Dallas County Sheriff's department during that time with the bridge crossing happening. He said if the law would have not stopped them they would have got on the other side of the bridge, take their stuff and went home. He was well respected by black people in Dallas County Alabama.

And worse, to have a sitting POTUS call us out (non-Democrat voters) as being the biggest threat to America today! I am 67, yet to know or meet a white supremist. but I have seen quite a few black supremacists, but the Dems & media take a blind eye to that!
Oh, but I should mention, that Biden sure heaped a bunch of praise on a true white supremacist in his past!

Get out of the cities. Politicians, media and race baiters are whipping the inner cities thugs into a frenzy for the elections coming.

We are simply going through what happened in Rhodesia and what is now happening in South Africa - one group being told they are ‘bad’ and ‘evil’ and another group wanting things given to them because of past events or actions. We don’t have the violence those places do/did but it’s coming. Throw in all the Illegal Immigrants into the mix who want free housing, healthcare, debit cards, drivers licenses, jobs, free education etc and it’s going to be a powder keg. Wait and see.

Sadly, the leftist whites will be instrumental if this happens. They love their policies until they get a good taste of them!

Good topic.

Read it all to this point. Agree with a lot of opinions.

We should never be this divided on race, sex, religion but it is the modern victim culture.

I just don’t see the tension personally

I don;t see it either, but I do feel something.. As an example... I will open the door for a woman or anyone really for that matter.. No matter what color or race...

When I see a black person... I make sure that I open the door for her/him and make sure I add a Hello or have a good day... I make sure that I go the extra mile to show that white folk think of them as equal and want to be kind. These people are mostly older.

But, when I see a bunch of young black folk with their pants sagging down, Red or blue hats that say Oakland and they are turned sideways, wearing a black lives matter t-shirt and about 30 gold chains, and a hoodie on in 101* heat.

I usually just try to shy away and stay vigilant to my surroundings.

Seeing countless videos of black on white violence, looting and robberies can really make me angry and question everything I’m trying to believe about race relations.

Now that.. My frustration there is that I see it. You see it. Black folk see it, The media sees it. Politicians see it. But nobody wants to talk about it. Instead they try to spin it around that somehow it is White people's fault.

A prime example.

Q: Why were people rioting after George Floyds death? <--- Problem
A: Because of Derek Chauvin. <--- White Guys fault.

It was all fine until Obama came along and told blacks that the white devil was the cause of all their problems

You'd be surprised how many kids growing up actually do exhibit pretty prejudiced behavior. It's almost like they are growing up with parents that were taught to be tolerant, get along and do what's right, only to be mislabeled and pooped on anyways.

Kids that are 16-20 year old age range right now... don't plan on spending their lives being politically correct like other generations. So, you're absolutely correct in that things are getting worse.

Because everyone knows that in a few decades, there will be no racial majority in the U.S. We’ll just be a Balkanized collection of various tribes and ethnicities competing for power. There will be no common sense of purpose, religion, ideals, or language. That is why the people saying “diversity is our strength” are selling you a dangerous myth. More diversity has crippled every powerful country in existence. The fact is that the country was founded overwhelmingly majority white, Christian, and with respect for individual rights and the rule of law. That is fading away now, as we continue to slide into moral and financial abyss.

All BS aside, it ramped up under former President Obama and it hasn’t slowed down. That’s a fact. The conspiracy theory in me tells me that was the plan,
