Words can’t describe that as an experience. First time I’ve ever seen a total eclipse and it was worth every single penny I paid to come to Texas for it. It went from daytime to complete nighttime within a minute. Stars were visible all over the north Texas sky at 1:43pm. I just simply will never find the words to describe the feeling of witnessing that in real time.

Update. I did see it. Pretty much entirely covered (95% is what we were told).

I did not have the same experience as you. I looked at it for a few seconds, said “that’s pretty neat” and then went about my day. Not at all knocking how it made you feel, I think that’s great you had such a great experience. I just didn’t feel anything.

After seeing this the whole way, it really is different. I've seen a few partial eclipses, and that last few percent matters. Really cool.

Complete darkness over Dallas right now. It looks like it’s the middle of the night.
Careful. They mostly come out at night.

Mostly

Had a board meeting that ended during the eclipse …someone had glasses so we all got a chance to look at the Sun through the clouds. We were only getting 70% cover so i wasn’t stressing to see the whole thing

But my Uber driver was trying to explain that the clouds were used by “them” bc so many of us where going to be looking up with the special glasses and would then see a second Sun that they are hiding from us…his sources were TikTok and some reptiled eyed demon he spoke to yesterday.

I’m wondering if i should tip him or not …it was an odd drive home

There are OT posters that will read this and legitimately think “this Uber driver knows what the rest of the sheeple don’t”

Got to see the total eclipse in NE Arkansas. Got a lot darker than I had expected. Temperature dropped and stars were visible. Clear sky and darkest eclipse I have ever seen.

I know this wasn't directed at me, but you don't exactly sound like a good time either

quote:

I prayed outloud without ceasing during the entire four minutes of totality, giving Praise to the Creator.

I prostrated again facing the New Son at that time and thanked the Almighty for returning the Light to His Children.

I told him that i recall the 2017 one…in Orlando we got 70-80% too but it wasn’t cloudy at all ..it was a bright day then looked like dusk and then bright again and no clouds. Also, we had one last fall and it wasn’t cloudy …he was an odd person for sure

Anyone in Dallas that looked up before totality could plainly see a whole bunch of them planes that leave trails zig zagging all across the sky. I have no clue what they were doing but there was a stiff 10-15 mph wind from the south that delivered a spectacle like no other with no cloud cover. Nice try!

I saw 97% in 2018 and thought it was "pretty neat" but that last little 3% to make it 100% is a completely different experience. Don't hate on the totalitarians.
