It's best defensive performance in TS. I don't know how much better it gets losing to #1 Bama 3-0 in 1979 when both teams only crossed midfield once and Bama got a field goal on theirs.

2014 Ole Miss is my favorite game Miles coached after 2011.

I can’t believe nobody has mentioned 2003 Georgia.

This was a biggie. I think it was the first game in 5 years that the Gators didn’t have a td pass

06 vs Arizona.

It was more like a pro wrestling match they beat them up so badly.

LSU defense against the No. 1 1997 Gators. My nephew was the Gator center and Booger was eating his azz up. I was in the stadium watching with his mother (my sister) and my wife. SOS was throwing his hat around and my sister was crying in the back seat on the way home after the game. Haha, that was hilarious. What a game. Took UF out of 1st place.

Key Gator players were in the French QTR night before partying hard. Most were hung over and thinking it was a sure win. Great defense! Great memories.

2011 Kentucky we only let up 150 yards whole game. I can't recall any SEC game where we let up 150 yards or fewer besides that game.

We held state to 130 yards in a 51-0 win in 2004

2016 vs bama

This, this, this.

The mood in the student section that night must have been that of the 300 Spartans - deep down we knew we were doomed but the bloodlust drowned out all reason.

The worst part is, what should have been a top-10 all-time defensive struggle going to OT 0-0 was ruined by two instances incompetent and/or corrupt officiating directly leading to both of Bama’s scores.

First of all to be fair, the almost fumble return TD wasn’t one of them. His knee hit; I physically saw it.

However, their FG was made possible by a phantom personal foul call on an LSU player who didn’t exist which offset fouls on multiple actual Bama players shoving guys on our sideline.

As for the TD run… legend has it they’re still holding to this day.

That game was lost on the game's first drive. Following a Bama turnover at about the LSU 20, Tigers failed to function and Etling badly missed receivers. To compound the failure of what could'f been a golden opportunity and LSU establishing control early in the game, LSU missed a short FG

Only allowed Tennessee 75 yards in 1964, but .... that was 1964, but even so, it was still unprecedented at the time.

Arizona wasn't a bad team that year.

LSU 's complete domination of USL and Arizona to start the season, made the following week's loss to Auburn more perplexing, and harder to bear.

I don't know if it meets all-time best levels, 2013 at home vs Texas A&M was special. That was the year nobody knew how to stop Johnny Football... until they played us.

Auburn 03, That's a great one, looking at what they did in college and in the NFL that's gotta be our best of all time over '11. They really were a NFL line in college, Hill and Spears, Lavalais and Kyle Williams. I was waiting tables at Chili's on a group from OU, they were talking a little trash so I told em "this will be your qbs worst game ever, he's going to want to quit during the game"

That's a nice way to tell it, but not quite the way it happened. Bama missed two short field goals in the first half, kicked their field goal early in the third quarter, and then lost a fumble inside the LSU 20 in the fourth. LSU crossed midfield twice in the first half, but the rain and the Bama D was too much after that.

Was coming to post about the rain. BUT Alabama was number 1 and still a great game.

I’m going with Auburn 1988. That Auburn defense was really good and their offense came in hot that game. LSU defense just would not give.
