President Trump doesn't have immunity for attempting to overturn a lawful election to help Candidate Trump stay in office.

That's not even remotely within the scope of Presidential powers. We don't have Kings in this country, despite what MAGA may want.

Does the Federal Government have any investigative powers over Federal Elections held by the States? To me, that's the central argument. If they do, then the President has Presidential powers over the Federal agencies that would investigate.

It's hard to argue that the Federal Government has zero authority over Federal elections held by the States after all of the lawsuits that they have won as it relates to civil rights and other voter eligibility issues.

That began and ended with Barr, and the behavior Trump is accused of in this prosecution would not be proper or lawful executive conduct

Bad argument

States administer federal elections, not the federal government.

The problem is that some of you mistakenly believe what Trump was doing was investigating - he knew there was no fraud and nothing to investigate, he was instead attempting a coup.

Thankfully he failed.
