It is pretty slow/meh for the first half of S1 or so. I remember having that gripe when I watched it. It was good, just not as good as advertised and I was prepared to be let down. But man does it ever pick up. And by the end of the series it's one of the best I've ever seen.
Definitely go back and give it another shot.

I need to go watch it again when it comes on netflix. I stopped watching it sometime in the second season, not sure why I did cause I loved the show.

Honestly I feel like I'd almost have to go back and look at what they even still have for streaming before making recs b/c I know Boss isn't their only original show that is no longer streaming on Starz.
I know Counterpart is no longer on there and isn't on any streaming service right now. You can at least buy it via Amazon/Apple/Vudu though which is a better fate than a lot of shows.

The slog through seasons 4 and 5 are worth it. 6 picks up nicely, and 7 is fantastic.
