Which country has the biggest difference in terms of skill between their domestic league and national team. Uraguay is the first team to mind. Domestic league is probably below average but at times can produce an elite national team. Argentina seems to be the only elite team with an above average league.

Wales has been in a few international tournaments recently yet you rarely if ever hear about the welsh league. (Total Network Solutions TYFYS) Same with Ireland. If you follow Copa Libertadores you’ll become familiar with more of the South American leagues.

England
Yes they’re pretty good but the Premier League should be making them juggernauts. Instead it’s been France, Germany, and Spain that have dominated international competitions

France is who I think of. You have PSG and then nothing else in the League One, but they are always a favorite in any competition they play in.
Welsh domestic teams are part of EFL /EPL right? Cardiff plays in the EPL when they can get it together so not sure Wales has a true domestic league that is driving their national team.

Putting in my vote for Japan and the J-League. Seems like Japan always has a decent showing in international tournaments. Nagoya Grampus and Wenger TYFYS.

So is MLS in the Top 13 leagues in the world? FIFA has the USMNT ranked 13th.
