That’s all fine and dandy. Probably more technical.

But when rain gets so bad on I-10 the cars in front of you are not visible no matter the speed you are driving, hazards aren’t a horrible idea.

So when you first see some flashers ahead, which are close because you can't see, do you hard brake immediately or just go a little bit more because you know it's probably an idiot like you doing the same shite you are?

I'm sure it's the latter, and if said car were actually stopped you could be the lucky initiator of a giant arse pileup on the interstate. But who the hell knows what's going on? Nobody. frickin stupidity anarchy out here.

That's the problem, a lot of people that are barely capable of performing daily tasks, doing things based on what they think makes sense. Dumbass laws exist for a reason, just like warning labels on things, generally because some dumbasses don't have common sense.

After you pull over to a safe location and wait for the rain to subside, I agree

Oh, and it's illegal.

In backwards arse Louisiana, sure, but not everywhere. Some states require you to use them if you're not driving the minimum speed. Many encourage their use if there's a change to the flow of traffic.

Some were going 60 (the speed limit) and they thought their vehicles traveling the speed limit were a hazard to other drivers.

Sucks to be a completely ignorant driver

How are hazards better than tail lights?

Why is there a change in the flow of traffic during heavy rain?

I'm not a little girl so I don't pull over. I'm also an arrogant prick so I put my flashers on for others on the road to be blinded by them an unable to see safety. They don't help me drive better, they are for blinding others, and putting other lives at risk, all due to my stupidity.

I’ll ask it again. Maybe you can answer?

All depends on the rain. For a regular rain, absolutely. However, rule of thumb is when your wipers can't keep up with the rain when they are full speed hazards lights are recommended.

You are dumb af. In low visibility people can't tell if you are broken down or just an idiot driving with his flashers on. You and people like you put everyone else in more danger in an already dangerous situation. Someone who is actually broken down is more likely to get rammed into because assholes like yourself make it unclear to other drivers who is broken down and who is driving.

I saw them turn on their hazards while going the speed limit as the rain got harder, and they were not slowing down, so I knew what their intentions were. No hard brakes. Then when they pulled over to the slow lane and I passed them… guess what I saw?

You guessed it! Another car with hazards on going the speed limit. Again, no issues were presented.

Guess what would happen if a car were stopped in the middle of the interstate and not pulled over to the shoulder during a driving rain?

You guessed it! A pileup would occur if the other drivers were not able to quickly change lanes (hazards or no hazards).

If the car isn’t moving, you gotta get that car off the road and safely onto the shoulder.

Nah. I asked a question. Feel free to answer it. Your answer shouldn’t depend on how I answer your follow up. If it does for some reason, then you can answer the question for both scenarios. Just so I can be completely informed.

Prove it. SHow me where ANY state mandates that you have to use flashers when it rains. Hell show me where a state even encourages it. I don't believe there is a single state that requires people to make the roads more confusing during rain storms.

Definitely against the law, All it does is take a single goigle search. And if anyone that drives down I-10, between Ascension and Baton Rouge, there's a huge florescent sign that reads, " if your wipers are on, your flashers must be off."

They are not. And even if they were, how do you differentiate from a car actually broken down in the lane vs an a-hole who thinks his flashers help?
