I can say this..
I had (tested positive) COVID twice and it was nothing.
A few weeks ago I got the actual flu and it knocked me on my arse for 1-2 weeks
During “COVID” the flu numbers were ZERO

You are right. On the chart below you would expect the 2021 flu numbers to be up at the start of the year with all the prior years but the flu numbers started out at zero for the first time in 2021.

The article's reasoning for the disappearance of COVID in 2021 is wrong but their presentation that it did disappear was correct. Medical folks were just calling the flu, COVID to participate in the government grift. They needed to get those COVID numbers up.

I had COVID and the flu back to back about Christmas and New Years this year. Third time I had COVID. It was sick for several days but mostly just fatigued. I slept a lot. Got over it, went out of town for New Years. A couple days after getting back, the flu hit me hard. It was WAY worse than COVID. First time I have had the flu, that I know of, since 1996 and it was brutal.

THIS is the only indication you really need that 'something' was amiss during this 'emergency'

They were low, but they certainly were not zero. In September(ish) 2020 I got sick and thought I had covid, so I was tested. They tested for two flu strains and covid. I had Influenza A.
Obviously the flu incidence would drop a lot when folks are social distancing.
