I think the attack coming tonight will be underwhelming. Iran is scared shitless of what will happen if they go too hard tonight. Israel would love nothing more than to strike Iran's nuclear sites and oil refineries

Jordan closed its airspace to commercial/civilian traffic because it sits squarely between Israel and Iran (with Iraq in the middle). If Iran struck Israel directly, they'd likely go through Syria and not over Jordan, but the Jordanians don't want civilian airliners in the area in the event SAMs start getting launched.
It's only concerning in the sense that it signals shite is about to pop off, likely tonight. It means nothing with regard to the U.S. or Israel, or relations between any of the three.

The Iranians are no slouch, especially in the asymmetric game. They have been wreaking havoc in the region for years and that doesn't happen by sucking at what you do.
The IRGC, particularly the QF, is pretty good at their primary function, which is why we took the opportunity to kill Qasem Soleimani when we had it and why the Israelis struck those turds in Damascus. The risk of the shite hitting the fan was judged to be worth it to get who they got.

They would be overkill considering the assets we already have in place. The Persian Gulf based USN 5th fleet can knock Iran out almost by themselves
