His hobbies don't change the fact that he satisfied the 10 years of service and payments required for loan forgiveness. I'm less than a year out for ~200k of forgiveness.

After 10 years of payments and working are you OK with my mortgage being forgiven creating a burden on inflation and the economy?

You mean you are less than a year out for me and others to bail you out?
Why should anyone get loan forgiveness when many people like myself lived frugally and worked to pay for college with no debt. Would you be ok with paying more taxes to reimburse me for my tuition I paid with no borrowing?
